The Sustainable Artist Lab Institute
The NBCCI’s - The Sustainable Artist Lab Institute is an artist residency program that supports and contributes to an accelerating national movement of equity within the arts for people of color with an intense focus on Sustainable Urban Black Art Renewal projects in natural spaces.

Create a space for artist and the community-members that promotes the ideas of a sustainable ecosystem through using upscale recycling and natural resources in creating art pie
Our Goals
Goal #1: Encourage Black Urban renaissance movement of artist.
Goal #2: Create emergency relief fund for local artist impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
Goal #3: Encourage intersections between upscale recycling, natural spaces, and urban renewal artistry
Goal #4: Encourage upscale recycling and natural resources in creating instruments (both vocal and physical) with a focus on revitalization of Indigenous and Black Diaspora musical art forms.
Goal #5: Individualized resource lab access to support artist with acquiring art supplies.
Goal #6: Create a virtual space for local artist to share their work and teach artist
Goal #7: Create a virtual space for equity-matters dialogue and how it’s presented in various forms of art.

Is located at the SFM Estates in Skyway, WA.
The Petah Village originates from Peter the 8th grandchild of the Sopher Family.
The Petah Village is recognized as an inclusive outdoor preschool that will support the development, creativity, and education of all children.
